New York City: The must-see sporting venues

New York is one of the most famous cities in the world and thousands of tourists travel to the iconic city to check out the deep history and heritage. While many associate the Big Apple with tall skyscrapers and a hub for large businesses, there are a number of sporting venues in and around the city that are well worth checking out. Here are just a few of the biggest and best sporting arenas in the local area.

NYC

Madison Square Garden

Possibly the world’s most diverse sporting establishment, the historic venue hosts approximately 320 events each year. The New York Rangers play their NHL matches at MSG while the New York Knicks also host basketball matches here. Basketball supporters travel from all over the world to see the Knicks play and their fans will be hopeful of success this year, despite odds of 150/1 at the time of writing with betfair. If basketball and hockey aren’t your thing, the venue also hosts boxing fights and previously hosted the NFL Draft.

MetLife Stadium

Home to both New York Jets and New York Giants, the MetLife Stadium is one of the greatest stadiums in the NFL. With a capacity of over 80,000, the MetLife Stadium has an incredible atmosphere and is one of the most hostile grounds in the sport. Although both teams have struggled throughout the last couple of seasons, they will be quietly confident ahead of the upcoming campaign.
